Commission Internetland for a Startup

The arts have a long history of working with patrons to produce incredible, important works. The image above is a mural by Diego Rivera commissioned by the Ford Motor Company, while The Last Supper was commissioned by Lodovico Sforza for a local monastery.

While commissioning a startup as art has little historical precedent, I can guarantee a few parameters:

• It will cost between $80k and $250k
• It will reflect the values and interests of the company who commissions the work
• It will in large part be built on the contributions of a voluntary, interested, public audience
• It will start small and have the potential to grow very large
• It will be simple, potent, elegant, beautiful
